This event will be a half a day seminar organized by RMIT University, about the social impacts of energy efficient buildings to ensure a more sustainable future.
The seminar will cover the opportunities opened up by automation for energy monitoring, the lessons to be drawn from everyday practices regarding energy consumption, and the use of automated technologies. It will also be an opportunity to discuss about policies and measures to ensure sustainable forms of energy consumption and demand.
During her intervention on “Social engagement: main driver and barrier towards successful energy efficiency building retrofit” Isabel will share her experience on energy efficient buildings and smart cities research projects. Among other case studies, she will bring the example of REMOURBAN demo site in Valladolid to analyse the social impacts brought by energy efficiency retrofitting interventions.
The seminar will take place on Monday, 28 November 2016 at RMIT Europe (Barcelona, Spain).
