Smarter Together installed it on site for future project use as many Smarter Together visitor groups have an opportunity to use the Knowledge Carrier that has been developed in the framework of the project. This dedication marks another step forward in the institutional cooperation and the local anchoring of the project.
Julia-Girardi Hoog, project leader of Smarter Together in Vienna, stated on this occasion that “for us, smart is more than only technology. A future oriented, sustainable city that wants to achieve the UN climate goals lives from the people who want to co-create it. For us from Smarter Together, it is therefore of an utmost importance to cooperate with the local educational institutions of Simmering, as they are the ones that share and communicate knowledge, values and a vision.”
The high end touchscreen computer is a piece in the mosaic of the co-operation that directly serves the inhabitants of Simmering, the pupils as well as other stakeholders such as start-ups.
