Liege-Energie asbl and the City of Seraing, represented by its economic agency Arebs, join forces to launch a project of a local energy renovation platform dedicated to citizens and the renovation of private urban housing.
The local energy renovation platform will contribute to the Walloon strategy for long-term energy renovation of the building, facilitating citizens' access to the renovation of their homes.
The main objective of the platform is to support a selection of renovation candidates during all stages of their project. A successful renovation is based on a long-term investment and trusted professionals. Personalised support by Liège-Energie, via tools made available on the platform (selection of Energy efficiency auditors, trusted entrepreneurs, advice on financing of retrofit work to be carried out and on energy efficiency advices, etc.) will be carried out to help citizens in their energy renovation of their building.
This pilot project, implemented within the “Smart City” vision of Seraing and supported by Liege Metropole and RESA, will be running until the end of 2020 with the aim of being extended to other municipalities.
This project has received funding from the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 646511
