The website is intended to be used as the main online entry point to the REMOURBAN project addressing different target audiences: multiple stakeholders’ categories, scientific and professional users, citizens and the general public.
It is considered the main interface for both professional audiences and general public, thus being the major communication and dissemination tool used to enlarge the REMOURBAN Community and to provide all relevant information addressing all targets. In line with this objective, the project website is considered as a community-building platform structured in view of highlighting all project components:
- the involved cities (Lighthouse and Followers),
- the interventions (with reference to the REMOURBAN actions – ICT, Mobility, Energy),
- the primary role of the citizens in designing the urban regeneration model: a special focus has been put on the citizens on the website
- relevant news, events and further information,
- the REMOURBAN network of smart cities, smart city associations and clusters
In view of addressing the information needs of multiple and acknowledged stakeholders, the REMOURBAN platform exploits multiple dissemination and communication channels. By taking advantage of the most innovative web 2.0 instruments, it establishes links with the partners’ websites to exchange contents about energy use reduction in cities and associated Smart City issues; it provides information on sector-specific events, news and other information supplied by the consortium and the community. All these external contents are subject to editorial control of the D&C Secretariat.
The project website also works as a share-point for the consortium through the direct link to the TeamSite, an online virtual space containing all institutional information, including working documents and deliverables (as a support to WP8 management).
